The Procedure for Dental Veneers
Veneers are a popular cosmetic treatment because they provide natural-looking results and are relatively quick to place. But before placing your veneers, our dentist will first examine your teeth to ensure they are healthy enough for the veneer procedure.
The procedure for placing veneers is minimally invasive. Our dentist in Gulfport, MS, will first remove a thin layer of enamel from the front of the affected teeth to make room for the veneer. Then, they will take an impression of the prepared teeth and send it to the lab where your custom veneers will be created. While your veneers are being made, your dentist will place temporary veneers on your teeth. Once your permanent veneers are ready, they will be bonded to the front of your teeth using special cement. Depending upon the patient's needs, veneers can be custom-made right here in our dental office using cutting-edge Prime Scan and CEREC technology.
Veneers are durable and can last for many years with proper care. They don't require any special maintenance beyond regular oral hygiene practices, such as brushing, flossing, and visiting your dentist for routine checkups.
